Bròn (sorrow)

A series of Cyanotypes made over winter. This work is reflective of how dark winter can be, both figuratively and literally. A response to loss & to the fragility of life. This winter has reminded me of just how ephemeral this life is. Much like that of our oceans & our earth. These works are made from salt, sand & plastic gathered from beaches in the Outer Hebrides.
